And of course, my phone had to fall into the toilet right after I finish emptying out my bladder....AND it has to get jammed in the hole, so it took me a good 1 whole minute to tug it out. Not attractive at all.
What's it like to live life as a military wife overseas? What is it exactly do us Suzy Homemakers with an art degree do? Read on my friend....before curiosity kills that kitty cat.

Tis the Season...
...so why not follow what fellow retailers are doing? Christmas, like it or not, is actually right around the corner sooner than you think. It seems time is flying by... like G6. *chuckle*
Anyway, being that this season is muy favorite of mine, I got into the Christmas spirit, PRETTYrubbish style. So I scoped out my local second-hand retailer and scoured the grounds for anything that gave me that Christmas grin and fuzzy happy feeling inside. Just found a few goodies....but it's a start ::

Nicole Richie's Wussiest Fan
Yes. That would me.
Sigh....Nicole Richie, how I love thee. How you influence 85 percent of my wardrobe choices. How you inspire me. How I admire your humor. You're so cool.
Alright , alright, I know I may sound a bit stalkerish right now, but in reality, I'm not. I just like to sound like it.
So as you can tell by now, I'm a HUGE fan of Nicole Richie. Ever since her Simple Life days, I have been a big fan of this wild child socialite turned cool stylish bohemian mother. I mean, just LOOK at how she dresses. It's outfits like this

and this
and these
that always kees me looking for her in celeb magazines just to see what she's wearing. She's such a fashionista.
Anywho, so as soon as I found out she was going to be making an appearance near my work, I took the chance to go and see her.
So I did, and this is what I did when I saw here. NOTHING.
YES! I'm such a wuss, as soon as I turned the corner and saw her through the window of the book store, I felt like running. You know that feeling you got when you were little and you liked that one little boy in your class? You would go out of your way to "run" into him in during recess, when you found his number you would call, only to hang up at the sound of his first hello? Well, I felt the same little girl way when I saw Nicole.
My first reaction was to make a U-turn and go back home because I saw the back of her head.
After a few minutes of shuffling and talking to myself about if I should go or not (I'm sure I resembled the fellow animated homeless people who had constant conversations with themselves), I finally sucked it up and went inside the bookshop.
When I first saw her. I smiled super big, but tried to keep it cool, so I blended in with the other fans who were taking pictures and did as the Romans did.
Then....she took a break from signing and looked up. And she stared right at me for about 30 secs. I got so nerverous, I covered my face with my phone and pretended I was taking a picture of her.
This was the outcome. After she turned her head, I really did take a pictures, but I was so nervous it came out blurry.
Ugh, such an idiot. THEN, I "casually" walked around the store and checked out a few books pretending I was really there to find a book, then I took one last look and left.
I. Couldn't. Believe. Myself.
No matter how big of a celebrity whore I am, I just can never fight that nervous feeling of going up to them and saying hi or asking for their John Hancock. Total failure.

These tan lasses
Was looking through various fashion blogs, and came upon this picture::
This picture reminded me of England. Why? Well, what you got here are 2 blond girls around the ages of 13-15, with super straighten hair and bangs swiped to the side. Both with a thin frame and their skin is an unnatural orangey, tan color that's REAL-ly fake. They are also dressed liked they were in their 20's. This right here ladies and gentlemen is a typical British young teenager. Yup, believe it or not, 80% of the young'ns look like this over yonder.
And believe it or not, I miss seeing characters such as these.....the countdown continues......
My Veteran Shout Out
Being a wifey of a Military man, I have begun to appreciate the men and women who serve and fight for this country called America. Before getting married and being forced to live amongst uniformed personnel, I only saw the military members as hot uniformed jarheads to drool and swoon over, who later become retired vets that are either super patriotic old fogies with war stories, or homeless men begging on the streets. Ignorant. Yes. I know.
Now that I have taken in more knowledge and learned about this typical lifestyle, I realize just how much these people do. Knowing what I know now, I now listen to these old Vets and their stories, for all that they’ve done, they really do deserve your time. I don’t complain about a lot of things anymore, seeing how hard the hubby has it sometimes. And I show my respects to anyone wearing a uniform, it just represents so much more that good looks.
First of all, once you sign up for the military, it’s like signing your life away for 4-25+ years. You know those days where you wake up early in the morning, and you just can’t seem to find yourself to get out bed, so you decide to call in “sick?” Well, the government don’t play like that. Whether you like it or not, you always have to report for work, sick or no sick, or else that’s big doo-doo on your part, and possibly your rank. Also, I know some businesses give the option to their employers to go and travel to another state or in some cases countries to work for a few days or weeks. Usually, if you are a single person, you would take that opportunity. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s only for a few weeks, and it would be like a mini vacay. For those who are with family, they can easily turn it down to avoid spending time away from their loved ones. Welp, you lucky bastards, that does not hold true for the Military. See, these heroes have no say in whether or not they can decline or accept, AND they have no say on when they leave or where. This is a hard thing to do for anyone. I mean, being sent away to a foreign place, ALONE, where birthdays and holidays no longer exist, and families and loved ones are no longer at arms reach for months on end does not sound very appealing, does it? But you know what? They still do it, and they do it with pride.
I’d like to dedicate this blog to all the men and women who serve and sacrifice their lives so that we can continue to live freely in this country that we sometimes take for granted.
Thank You and Happy Veterans Day Troops!
WARNING::For those of you with sensitive stomachs, you may want to skip what I am going to post below.
Also, I’d like to say big ups to my Hero, Ricardo Malan. Because of you I am one happy wifey. And I know I’ll remain that way por vida. You have sacrificed so much, endured plenty, and worked your ass off to not only defend your country, but to provide for a better future for us and our future family. You don’t have to live this lifestyle, but yet you do, for the sake of this. I Love you with all my heart, and I will forever support you.
(Told you it was going to be barf status)

The fountain of old
I can honestly say that I think I know why old people become grumpy. I have a belief that the job force is a huge factor as to why the elders in our country are not happy campers. Here’s what I gathered from my research on this matter.
So before I became permanently stuck with the love of my life, I was a working woman. I had the 8 hour Monday through Friday job that required me to be apart of the hustle and bustle and do the commuting thing with other fellow business type people. And yes, I was also one of those people who would tread the streets of the city in Business casual clothes and fashion faux pas tennis shoes. I had to, my feet were getting abused, and btw, that was then, this is now, and I never look back.
Anyways, on top of my full time job, I had a part-job on the side and other social activities. So you can imagine that my life was constantly full of busy motion and no rest. Due to the fact that I never really got the chance to sit down chill, enjoy, and think for myself, I then become somewhat of a robot. I felt that my only reason to live was to work and make that money to pay for things that would only make me happy temporarily. Because of this whole outlook on how to live, I then slowly began to transform into….an adult. As a teenager/young adult. I was a spunky little thing. I would laugh at things, be a jumpy hyper little girl, and be optimistic about everything I touched. Then after I entered my later 20's and worked my life away, I soon became something I always thought I'd never become :: Grown-up.
So months before I get married, and months before I quit all my jobs to become a full-time house wifey, here I was paying bills with a stern look on my face, watching the morning news, doing the popular grown-up gesture : the glance a the watch move, sleeping before 11PM, and being interested in conversations that involved subjects such as mortgages, current events, and what vitamins will best benefit me. I also found that dark circles became my new eye make-up, which only added more years to my youthful face. I also hardly smiled, which allowed me to blend in with my fellow working adults.
Then August 8th, 2009 came along. I was married, unemployed, and ready to start a brand new life. Adjusting from a hectic constant motion to a carefree sleeping in type of life. Within months, I was back to my youthful tude again. I was laughing more, good moods tended to be a frequent visitor, and my bills were done with a more approachable look on my face. I also began to slowly appreciate all the ugly that surrounded me and found beauty hidden somewhere within. I wanted to see more, learn more, explore more. And the main thing, because I wasn't in constant motion, I rested more, which meant just like a re-charged battery, I was full of energy and ready to take on anything that crossed my path. The eye bags went away, which decreased the older look on my face. I was young again.
Now, still being in this house wifey state of mind, and being back in the work environment for the next couple months, I'm able to look and compare these 2 lifestyles at a bigger spectrum. It kind of saddens me when I encounter some of the business people on my way to work. They all look sad, tired, stressed, OLD. They look like the old me. Not a good look I must say. When your life moves like clock work 5 days straight for some odd years, I can see how it can take over the best in you. You tend to forget what's really important in life. Instead of having your loved ones, family, and even yourself as your number one priority, it seems, although many don't really realize this, that the number one priority whilst working is trying to please the higher up. That, instead of working to provide for your family, I can see that some people get lost in working to try and prove who they are and that they are better than the next. AND I truly believe that all this struggle and stress that you go through up until retirement only wears down your delicate body and your youthful mind, only allowing you to resent the youth because they have something you once had. Hence my formula for the grumpy old people.
The reason for this blog is simply this. Life is short. You only have so much time in your life. You never know when you're going to go. Don't let work take over your life. Yeah, it's a big part of affording to pay for the things in your life, but try to find other outlets that will keep you, the old you.
